The HAL5 Donation Program

Donor Levels Table   |  List of Past Donors  |  Project HALO Donation Program  ]

Thanks to support from people like you, the Huntsville Alabama L5 Society (HAL5) is now one of the leading chapters of the National Space Society.  We are involved in many activities.  Any time you can donate to assist in these activities is very much appreciated!  To those that are currently doing so -- thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU!

If you cannot donate your time, however (and we do understand the limits placed on your free time) -- and even if you can -- please consider making a donation of money and/or equipment to HAL5 or its Project HALO.

Please make your check payable to the “Huntsville Alabama L5 Society” and mail to the following address:

HAL5 sponsors a monthly Program Night which provides free public lectures on space topics for the general public.  HAL5 educational programs also includes participation in science and space-related talks at local schools, conferences, and science fiction conventions.  HAL5 also engages in space advocacy, which includes membership and petition drives, letter writing campaigns, and visits with local public and corporate officials.  HAL5 projects, besides the HALO Program, include working with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center on new futuristic exhibits and the hosting or co-sponsoring of regional Space Development Conferences.  Please donate whatever amount you can to HAL5.  It’s for a good cause -- Space for us all -- in our lifetimes!  Ad Astra!

If you desire, you may earmark your donation for either the “Programs”, “Advocacy”, or “Projects” parts of HAL5 activities.  Your donation to HAL5 is tax-deductable to the extent which the law allows.

Donor Status will be Cumulative

Your status as a donor to HAL5 will be cumulative.  We at HAL5 believe that you are equally generous whether you make one big donation or many little ones over the years.  Thus, your total contribution to HAL5 is used to determine your donor status.  (Note: due to the large size of the HALO Program, your donations to “HAL5 Project HALO” are counted separately from other donations to HAL5.)  The table below summarizes the cumulative donation requirements for each donor level.  Note that Corporate donor levels are purposefully set to ten times that of individual donor levels.
