Greg is one of the founders of the Huntsville Alabama L5 Society and has served as its President for most of its life. Through his leadership and devotion, HAL5 has become one of the leading chapters of the National Space Society. Greg served as Chairman of the highly successful 1993 ISDC, held in Huntsville. From 1994 to 1995, he served as the Southeast Regional Director for the National Space Society, and in 1995 as Assistant Treasurer for the NSS Executive Committee. Greg continues to serve as Chairman of the Foundry, a project he developed for the 1993 ISDC. Greg currently serves as Program Manager of Project HALO, HAL5s most ambitious project to date. Greg is also leading HALOs Education Committee, which is developing the HALO Achievement program. In 1996, Greg received the NSS Chapters Assembly Outstanding Chapter Member Award. In 1997, Greg received the National Space Societys Space Pioneer Award for Entrepreneurship for Project HALO. In May 1998, Greg received the HAL5 Professional of the Year Award. In November 1998, Mr. Allison was reelected to the NSS Board of Directors and was elected the NSS Vice President for Chapters. In November 2002, Mr. Allison was again reelected to the NSS Board of Directors and was elected the NSS Executive Vice President.

Ronnie joined HAL5 in 1992 and has previously served as Secretary (92-93), Vice-President (93-94), Treasurer (94-96), and Projects Coordinator (96-97) . Starting in 1994, Ronnie began serving as Editor of HAL5s newsletter, the Southeastern Space Supporter. He also has been instrumental in setting up and maintaining the HAL5 Web Site. Ronnie is also a member of HALOs Education Committee, which is developing the HALO Achievement program. In 1995, Ronnie received the HAL5 Professional of the Year Award. At the 1995 ISDC, Ronnie accepted a two-year post as Chairman of the National Space Society Chapters Assembly. In 1997, Ronnie was reelected to the organizations first second term. Also in 1997, Ronnie was elected to the National Space Society Board of Advisors. In 1999, Ronnie received an NSS Chapters Special Merit Award for his service to the NSS Chapters Assembly. Ronnies organizational skills have kept HAL5 in tip-top shape, whether keeping minutes and tracking actions for the 1993 ISDC, keeping the financial records in order for HAL5 and its Project HALO, or publishing its bimonthly newsletter. In November 2000, Mr. Lajoie was elected to the NSS Board of Directors and has served as NSS Secretary and Chair of the NSS 2002 Elections Committee.
