Overview of HALO Achievement

HALO Achievement Working Group

The HALO Achievement Working Group consists of individuals who want to make a difference by educating the next generation about the promise and potential of living and working in outer space, to provide a hopeful view of the future.

The Working Group is open to anyone who shares this vision and is willing to do some work to make it happen. If you are interested in joining the Group, please come to one of our meetings (see below). For more information, please call HALO Program Manager Greg Allison at 256-859-5538 (night) or send E-mail to ghallison@aol.com.

Working Group Meetings

The HALO Achievement Working Group has designed a pilot program which allows 5th graders (and students of similar age or ability) to plan a mission to Mars for a non-human crewman -- Rascal the Rockoon Racoon.

The Group is currently preparing to test-pilot the program at several elementary schools in Madison County, Alabama. Other schools have also expressed interest.

Currently, interest in the program exceeds the Working Group's abilities. We are seeking individuals in the Madison County area who are interested in helping us to prepare the teaching materials and/or to help teach/coach the students.

For information call Greg Allison at 256-859-5538 (night); or send E-mail to ghallison@aol.com
