Welcom to HAL5's ISDC 2011 Status page. This is our temporary website until we can get the main ISDC 2011 website up and running in May 2010.
At the 2009 International Space Development Conference (ISDC) this past May in Orlando, NSS has accepted The Huntsville Alabama L5 Society's (HAL5) bid to host the 30th ISDC or ISDC 2011. ISDC is annual conference of the National Space Society (NSS) This is the second time HAL5 has hosted an ISDC, the last time being 1993, which was a resounding success. HAL5 is finalizing the details with NSS, and we will announce the final date and venue soon.
The conference will focus on Huntsville and Northern Alabama's high concentration of experts in multiple fields of space, including human space exploration, space science, and new technologies, as well as "new space" entrepreneurs, Earth-based space applications, and biotechnology. The conference will also provide a venue for showcasing various space related activities from around the country and around the world.
We have started identifying and contacting potential speakers and sponsors. If you are interesting in speaking, sponsorship, exhibiting, volunteering and/or programming ideas, please .
