Notes on September meeting of Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority

OSIDA met at 1:30 p.m. on September 27 at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Building in Oklahoma City. Syd Henderson attended on behalf of Oklahoma Space Alliance. Board members attending were the Chair, General Ken McGill, Phil Kliewer, Lou Sims, Don Rodolph, Joe King and Todd Russ. There were only about 6 people in the audience that were not connected with OSIDA. This meeting had been postponed from September 13.
I asked Mr. Sims if a date had been set for the Launch Certificate celebration, and he said not yet. This celebration will not be until after the state legislature elections on November 7.
OSIDA Executive Director Bil Khourie made presentations to Cessna and Lear Jet. They will visit the Oklahoma Spaceport later in the year for a possible flight test.
A gentleman from American Countryside Radio heard about the spaceport as he was driving down I-44, dropped oin and saw the facility.
Armadillo Aerospace wants to do R & D Testing at the Oklahoma Spaceport. Oklahoma Spaceport Authority is charging $400 per day. Armadillo is one of the two competitors (so far) for the X-Prize Lunar Landing Challenge, which has a $2.5 million dollar prize.
